beardreams...wandering the world!!!: krabi

we left phuket, and i was actually ready to move on...we had to go to krabi by ferry via phi phi...lucky for us some norwegian folk gave us a lift on their hired speedboat...

basically these were our first glimpses of the phi phi islands...how beautiful!

shit. they made it look so easy, just throwing your luggage off the boat and hopping down into the sand!!! well...it wasnt that easy for us...hahahaha! (note to self....pack lighter!)

the water was pretty much crystal clear....sigh.

from phi phi don we hopped on a ferry and headed out to krabi! i really like the ferries...well except the part where you lug 100lbs of luggage upstairs...(note to self......pack way lighter!)

so...after the boat and ferry rides, we finally ended up at the peir in krabi! holy shit it was soooooooo lovely here. um.....i met the most fabulous little girl in all the world. she was sooooo curious about us, and she spoke english! we had quite a wait for our taxi so it was kind of nice to chat with her!

finally our taxi came and we were pretty exhausted. we arrived in ao nang at our hotel, the cliff...it was sooooooooo beautiful! this was luxury to me man! (sadly my favorite part was the bathroom!) it was heaven. i know! im so easy to please! hahaha!

of course they had hibiscus flowers man......it is paradise after all!

we wandered the streets of this cute little beach town...there wasnt much in the way of nightlife, so we pretty much ate, had a drink and came home to relax in the comfiest bed i have ever been in...

oh. yes. he did.

woke up early and headed down to the beach at ao nang, krabi...it was lovely. then we took a long boat over to the islands of railay and phranang....all of which were devistated by the tsunami...but looking lovely as ever now.

everyone was coupled or familied on this island, and im quite sure that people pegged us as the honeymooning lesbians.....but we managed to meet some cool brits just before we left that day.....we invited this guy to lunch...cuz he looked like he needed to get out of the sun!

as in grand tradition of those before me......i lost my flip flops..........seems to be tradition in thailand....or maybe they have someone that steals them, just so you have to buy new ones! ya, thats it!
