we saw a cactus that was graffittid...pretty cool! those caiperinas again are soooo good!!! then we went back to the house to get some nice relaxing mani/pedis!! awesome to have someone come to you instead of going to find one in town!! haha!
i love having a fresh vacation tan! julia n rob brought their dive gear with them so we all decided to go to this amazing lil town called arrial do cabo where we were told some of the best diving in brazil and most beautiful beaches are. it was a long ride, a few hours or so...but we made it! we dropped them off at the dive shop and waited for them to go, and the rest of us decided to take a booze cruise around to some of the beaches...lol unlimited caiperinas!!!
what a perfect day!!! denise got a lil tipsy with all the caiperinas and the heat...so when we got to shore she decided to go nap and we were still waiting for rob n jules...i took a nice walk through this gorgeous town and did a lil shopping...
OH! sidenote, i totally forgot to mention the amazing restaraunt we went to in rio...its called a Churrascaria....oh man its seriously heaven! Brazil has some of the best meat ive ever had...it tastes so good and clean... sigh. here they come around with giant meat skewers and shave off pieces onto your plate... sooo yummmy!
the next day we decided to relax around the house and just enjoy our day...there is something so familiar about brazil. its hard to explalin, maybe becuz we were with people we knew...but nothing ever felt weird or uncomfortable. just totally peaceful and fun... the girls prepared a giant dinner for us...vejuada stew...and a plate full of perfection!!!
we met this guy sergei, who is apparently a brazilian rock legend...his house is a museum...
so it was finally time for carnaval and people started flooding in from all over...it was just a short walk into the center of town and it was a beautiful cool evening!!!
it was pretty funny, the guys were all dressed up as girls and everyone danced in the streets!!
we ate cheeseburgers and i was dying laughing because apparently in portuguese when ur trying to say "with everything" the phrase is cheeseburger dudu... um. i literally kept laughing and denise was like why the hell are you laughing at me!!! i also finally got to have the real thing... acai (ah-say-ee)...the amazing little berries from the rainforest!!! ahhhhh. i love you brazil...
our last day was spent just lazing around...rob, julia, and i decided to cook for denise and her family for our last dinner and to show our appreciation for the wonderful time we spent with them...
well time to go home brazil!!! we love you so much and look forward to coming back soon!!! thank you denise and family for all of your hospitality!!!
